Dr. Edwin Tulloch-Reid

Consultant Cardiologist | Chief Medical Officer & Co-Founder

Edwin is a cardiologist who received his training in the US and Canada at the New York Medical College, University of Pittsburgh and the University of Montreal.  In recognition of his scientific and professional accomplishments, he has been elected to fellowship of the American College of Cardiology and of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.

Edwin has been at the forefront of advances in cardiology in Jamaica and the Caribbean.  He was responsible for re-establishing the cardiology clinic at the Kingston Public Hospital, the largest referral hospital center in the English-speaking Caribbean.  He then became a founding member of the Heart Institute of the Caribbean which is the only freestanding Heart Hospital in the English-speaking Caribbean. Edwin also built a consultative practice at the Andrews Memorial Hospital where he draws on more than 30 years of medical practice to provide personalized cardiac care.

He believes that a heart-healthy lifestyle is vital for preventing cardiovascular disease.  With his wife Katrine, Edwin founded My Heart Wellness to teach people how to reduce their risk for heart disease and stroke through lifestyle change.

Katrine Smith Tulloch-Reid

CEO & Co-Founder

Katrine has a strong record of achievement as a business consultant with multinational donors such as the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, International Trade Centre, the European Union, and several UN Agencies.  She draws on more than 20 years’ experience in designing and leading data-driven projects, with responsibilities for management, research, human resource development, and communications.

Born in Spain and educated in the UK, Katrine obtained her MSc. (Distinction) from the University of Reading, UK; and her BSc. (1st class Honours) from the University of Manchester, UK.  She has worked in Jamaica and the Caribbean, Bolivia, Uganda, Indonesia and Europe.

Combining this international exposure with her personal commitment to wellness, Katrine joined forces with her husband Edwin to create My Heart Wellness with a mission to promote heart health.

Katrine spearheads the company’s lifestyle programs based on four key pillars of heart health: healthy eating, physical activity, sleep, and stress management.  With a focus on mindset and behavioral change, Katrine incorporates the latest research in behavioral psychology and the medical sciences.  Her methodology is highly experiential to allow ‘learning by doing’ and employs gamification to motivate and sustain active participation.

In her words, “Most of us know what needs to be done, but that is clearly not enough.  To achieve lifestyle change, a program must engage someone deeply at a personal level.  And this is what we’re able to do at My Heart Wellness through programs that are science-based and validated by experts.  When we get heart and mind to work together, people experience profound and long-lasting lifestyle changes which ensure good heart health.”

About My Heart Wellness

My Heart Wellness was founded in 2020 to teach people how to avoid heart disease and stroke and improve their cardiovascular health and overall wellness through lifestyle change.

Using a holistic approach to cardiovascular health, My Heart Wellness has developed a proprietary framework based on four pillars of heart health and with a special focus on mindset and behavior change for healthy lifestyle choices.  It has members in Jamaica, the US, Canada, the UK and Europe.

Edwin and Katrine, the company’s founders, take a hands-on approach to ensure that each member receives as much time and tailored support as possible. Their passion is evident in their commitment to their members. In their words, “Success for us is that our members don’t have to constantly worry about heart disease.  They know that they’re doing the right thing to protect their heart health.  They are free to enjoy life and make plans for the future!”

We engage other professionals with complementary expertise to deliver certain elements of our retreats and coaching programs. We partner with other Medical Experts (e.g. Sleep Specialist, Nutritionist, Exercise Physiologist, Osteopath etc.) and Wellness Professionals (e.g. Yoga, Mindfulness, Meditation, Massage etc.) according to our thematic focus.

To ensure that each of our collaborators is right for our programs and our clients, we partner only with professionals we can vouch for. Wherever possible, we have experienced their services first-hand.

We also carefully select the venues for our retreats to promote our programs’ objectives. Based on our personal vetting, we can guarantee that our locations provide our clients with a restorative experience of wellness, in an intimate, exclusive setting and with timeless graciousness.
